Chateau Wyuna · Mount Evelyn, Victoria
Hello
We're getting married in the hills east of Melbourne, surrounded by the people who matter most to us. Everything happens in one place, so once you arrive you can settle in for the evening.
This site has everything you'll need - where to go, what to wear, where to stay, and how to let us know you're coming.
Saturday
Mount Evelyn, Victoria
Garden-party elegant
Ceremony and reception are both at Chateau Wyuna, so there's no travelling between venues.
Please arrive from 4:00 pm so we can start on time.
Dinner, drinks and dancing. Carriages at 9:30 pm.
Tap through to see how the evening unfolds.
Come through the gardens and find a seat. There'll be someone to point you the right way, and a drink if you'd like one.
The part we've been counting down to. About half an hour in the chapel - no need to worry about the weather.
One big group photograph with everyone, then drinks and canapés in the gardens while we slip away for a few portraits.
Find your name on the seating chart and settle in. Dinner is about to begin.
We'll make our entrance, and then it's dinner, wine and a great deal of talking.
A few words from the people who know us best, and then we'll cut the cake.
We'll get it over with, and after that the floor is yours for the rest of the night.
Last drinks and a proper send-off. Please do let us say goodbye before you disappear.
The ceremony is held in the chapel on site, so rain or shine the day runs exactly to time. Drinks and canapés afterwards are in the gardens.

There is free parking on site. Cars may be left overnight and collected the following morning, which we'd encourage if you'd rather not drive home.
Rideshare can be slow and unreliable this far from the city late at night, and it isn't something we'd rely on after 10 pm. If you plan to drink, please either book a room nearby or arrange a driver. The roads through the hills are unlit and wildlife is genuinely active after dark.
Lilydale station is the closest railway station, about ten minutes' drive from the venue. There is no practical connection from the station to Chateau Wyuna, so you'd need a taxi for the final leg, and trains don't run late enough to get you home after the reception.
A few places we'd suggest, from a two minute walk to a proper weekend away. March is busy in the Yarra Valley, so we'd book early. Tap any name for details and bookings.
138 York Rd, Mount Evelyn. Effectively next door - you can walk. Bistro, pool and spa rooms, and the simplest option if you'd rather not drive at all.
125 Clegg Rd, Mount Evelyn. A warm, quirky B&B on a small wildlife property. Lovely if you're bringing family and want somewhere with character.
418 Main St, Lilydale. Recently renovated, comfortable and good value, with spa rooms available. Walking distance to shops and cafés for breakfast.
If you'd like to make a night of it, the cottages up through Olinda and Sassafras are beautiful - fireplaces, gardens and mountain air, twenty minutes from the venue.
Falls Rd, Olinda. Individually styled cottages with spas and fireplaces. Several can be booked together, which works well for a family group.
Clarkmont Rd, Sassafras. Exceptionally well kept, generous hosts, breakfast provisions included.
Mount Dandenong Tourist Rd, Olinda. Cosy garden cottages within walking distance of Olinda village.
Olinda. Boutique suites in the middle of the village, close to restaurants.
For anyone travelling from interstate or overseas, Healesville is a lovely base and puts you among the wineries.
Healesville. Private cottages in the bush with outdoor spas. One of the most highly regarded stays in the valley.
Symons St, Healesville. Roomy self-contained apartments a block from the main street.
Mt Riddell Rd, Healesville. A whole house sleeping up to ten - ideal if a group of you would like to stay together.
Travelling from overseas and not sure where to base yourself? Just ask us - we're happy to help you work it out.
Cocktail. Think garden-party elegant. We'd love to see everyone dressed up - it's the one day we get to see you all at your best.
Softly draped, mid-calf
Wide leg, quietly elegant
A classic that suits everyone
Satin midi with a fine knit
Navy, charcoal or soft grey
A suit worn without a tie
Contrasting jacket, smart trousers
Add a waistcoat if you fancy it
No obligation at all, but if you'd like to lean into our colours, these are them.
The ceremony is in the chapel, but drinks and photographs afterwards are outdoors on grass. Block heels or flats will treat you far better than stilettos.
March evenings in the hills cool down quickly once the sun goes. Bring a jacket, wrap or blazer for later in the night.
We have a photographer covering the whole day, so please feel free to put your phone away during the ceremony and simply be there with us. We'll share the full gallery with everyone afterwards.
If you're travelling in, the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong Ranges are worth a day or two either side. A few things we love.
One of Australia's best cool-climate wine regions, thirty minutes from the venue. Plenty of cellar doors do lunch, and there are tour operators if nobody wants to drive.
Australian wildlife in bushland settings - koalas, platypus and birds of prey. Especially good if you're visiting from overseas.
A century-old steam railway winding through the Dandenongs from Belgrave. Genuinely charming, and a lovely morning out.
Olinda and Sassafras are full of gardens, tea rooms and forest walks. The Botanic Garden and the Thousand Steps are both close by.
Free tastings, a huge shop and good coffee. An easy stop between the valley and the hills.
The lookout over Melbourne from the top of the ranges. Best at dusk, and there's a restaurant if you'd like to stay for dinner.
Melbourne itself is under an hour away, so it's easy to spend a few days in the city and come out to the hills for the wedding.
We're keeping the day intimate, so we've only been able to invite a small number of people. Your invitation names everyone included, and the RSVP form will show who we've reserved a seat for.
We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only evening - we hope it gives you a night off.
From 4:00 pm please. The ceremony starts at 4:30 pm and we'd hate for you to miss it.
Indoors, in the chapel at Chateau Wyuna. Drinks and canapés afterwards are outside in the gardens, so bring a layer for later in the evening.
Please tell us in the RSVP form and we'll arrange it with the venue. Let us know about allergies as well as preferences.
Yes, free and on site. You're welcome to leave your car overnight and collect it the next morning.
Your being there is genuinely the gift, particularly for those of you travelling a long way. If you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon, there will be a wishing well on the night.
Please do, throughout the day - we'd only ask that phones stay away during the ceremony itself so our photographer can work and you can simply be present.
Just let us know as soon as you can. Final numbers go to the venue about two weeks beforehand, so the earlier the better.
Reply to the email that brought you here, or get in touch with either of us directly.
Kindly reply by Wednesday 20 January 2027. Please respond for everyone named on your invitation, and tell us about any dietary requirements while you're there.
We'll confirm by email once we've received your reply. If you don't hear from us within a few days, please chase us up - it means something has gone astray.
